PUEBLO, Colo. - Two suspects who escaped from parole officers Tuesday were later caught at a gas station in Colorado City. According to the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office, Colorado Department of Corrections parole officers were following a car southbound on Interstate 25, which they believed had a suspect inside wanted on an escape warrant. Colorado State Patrol was called in to assist in locating the car and trying to stop it, but authorities say the driver refused to stop. A chase followed for about six miles before it was called off. Around 2:45 p.m., someone at Fast Break Liquor in Colorado City reported a car with blown tires and smoke coming out of it in the parking lot.
