DUBOIS – A jail inmate is facing contraband charges for allegedly receiving pills from his brother during a kiss when he appeared for a preliminary hearing. Michael W. Miles, 40, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, contraband/inmate and a misdemeanor count of intentional possession of a controlled substance after an incident at District Judge Pat Ford’s office during centralized court on July 6. According to the affidavit of probable cause, after Miles, an inmate, waived his hearing on terroristic threats and harassment, he asked officers if he could say goodbye to his brother.
