| Man jailed for extortion walks away from LA correctional facility |

LOS ANGELES — Authorities searched Thursday for an offender who walked away from a California Department of Corrections facility in South Los Angeles. About 5 p.m. Wednesday authorities launched an emergency search after being notified that Sandy Siders, 40, had run out of the Male Community Reentry Program facility and later removed his GPS device, according to Vicky Waters of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. The facility is located at 3745 S. Grand Ave. Agents from the Department of Corrections were dispatched to locate and apprehend Siders, Waters said. Read More. |
