Trio arrested trying to smuggle drugs, other contraband into Alabama prison, authorities say |

Three people are under arrest after authorities say they tried to smuggle drugs into an Alabama prison. The Alabama Department of Corrections on Thursday announced the arrests of Michael Alley, 39, Priscilla Alley, 34, and John Dasinger, 38. All the three live in Ozark. The arrests happened Tuesday at the Easterling Correctional Facility in Clio. Prison officials said a corrections K9 found methamphetamines, marijuana, flakka, cell phones, phone chargers, batteries, and other contraband concealed inside two backpacks that belonged to the suspects. The discovery was made about 7:30 a.m. when the K9 found two backpacks that the suspects had dropped close to the perimeter fence. The trio was spotted near the prison and detained for questioning.
