The nation’s highest court won’t review the case of one man on Alabama’s Death Row. In its weekly order list released Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court announced that it has denied a writ of certiorari, or a request to review the case, for Alabama inmate Michael Brandon Kelley. Kelley, 39, is currently on death row at Holman Prison in Atmore. Kelley petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court after the Alabama Supreme Court denied his request in August. Kelley was convicted in St. Clair County on two counts of capital murder and one count of sexual torture in the 2008 slaying of Emily Lynn Milling. He has been on death row since 2010.
