PINE GROVE – Law enforcement officials apprehended three conservation camp participants late Tuesday night who had walked away from a work detail near the Pine Grove Conservation Camp in Amador County earlier in the day.

Stanley Hill, 19, Derrick Scott Peterson, 18, and Robert Lee Sneed, 19, were arrested at 10:35 p.m. on July 9 by Amador County Sheriff’s Department deputies on Bowman Road. They were transported to the N.A. Hill, Peterson and Sneed walked away from a CAL FIRE work assignment clearing brush near Mitchell Mine Road on Tuesday. They were last seen around 11 a.m., and were reported missing at 1:46 p.m.

CDCR’s Division of Juvenile Justice, the Office of Correctional Safety’s Sacramento Fugitive Apprehension Team, CAL FIRE, Amador County Sheriffs and the California Highway Patrol and local law enforcement assisted in the apprehension efforts.
