Associate Warden Jeff Long has been named warden of Sterling Correctional Facility. Long has served as interim warden since April of this year when Warden Matt Hansen was promoted to Deputy Director of Prisons at DOC headquarters. Long is one of five new wardens CDOC announced Tuesday, July 30. Long joined the CDOC in 2005 and has worked his way up through the correctional series rank, after starting as a Correctional Officer I. He has developed, analyzed and created administrative regulations, policies and procedures for all custody levels within the CDOC.
