| Authorities search for inmate who escaped from prison near Forks |

FORKS, Wash. -- Authorities are searching for Mark David Vannausdle, who escaped Sunday morning from the Olympic Corrections Center, a minimum security prison in Jefferson County. The 60-year-old was making his way from his living quarters to the prison's dining hall at approximately 7:00 a.m. Sunday when he escaped, according to the Washington Department of Corrections. Vannausdle was serving a 20-year sentence for assault and robbery charges out of Pierce County. He was tentatively set to be released in 2021. His escape Sunday morning will definitely prompt a review of that release date, a spokeswoman for the Washington Department of Corrections told KOMO News. Read More. |
