Man dies at Douglas County Jail

OMAHA, Neb. — Douglas County Corrections officials said a man died while being held at the Douglas County Jail.

According to Douglas County Department of Corrections Director Mike Meyers, Philip Teplitsky, 37, was at the jail Monday afternoon for a sex offender registry violation.

According to a release, Meyers said Teplitsky was transported to UNMC at 2:45 p.m. "for a medical condition that became life-threatening."
