2009 Request for Nominations
The Wisconsin Correctional Association is currently seeking nominations for the following board positions for a two-year term,
which take office at the 2009 WCA Conference.
Recording Secretary
County Representative
Juvenile Representative
Private Representative

The following is a brief description of the responsibilities for each of these positions.
RECORDING SECRETARY
The Recording Secretary of the Wisconsin Correctional Association is an elected position for a two year term and takes office at
the annual conference. Duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Attend Board meetings.
- Record and publish minutes from all Board meetings in a timely manner. Distribute these minutes to the Board for approval at next meeting.
- Maintain a chronological file of minutes from all meetings.
- Distribute pertinent information to Committee Chairpersons as necessary.
- Provide a minimum of one article for each WCA newsletter.
- Serve as the WCA board member liaison to the Membership Committee and Volunteers Committee.
COUNTY REPRESENTATIVE
The County Representative of the Wisconsin Correctional Association’s Board of Directors is an elected position for a two year
term and takes office at the annual conference. Duties of the position include:
- Attend Board meetings.
- Provide a minimum of one article for each WCA newsletter.
- Promote WCA membership and activities in the county sector.
- Serve on committees at the discretion of the WCA President and complete all assigned tasks.
- Represent the interests of the county sector to the WCA Board.
- Serve as a liaison between the county sector, WCA, and agencies subscribing to WCA.
- Serve as the WCA Board member liaison to the Scholarship Committee.
JUVENILE REPRESENTATIVE
The Juvenile Representative of the Wisconsin Correctional Association’s Board of Directors is an elected position for a two year
term and takes office at the annual conference. Duties of the position include:
- Attend Board meetings.
- Provide a minimum of one article for each WCA newsletter.
- Promote WCA membership and activities in the juvenile sector.
- Serve on committees at the discretion of the WCA President and complete all assigned tasks.
- Represent the interests of the juvenile sector to the WCA board.
- Serve as a liaison between the juvenile sector, WCA, and agencies subscribing to WCA.
- Implement annual conference site decisions as made by the Board of Directors with negotiation of necessary contracts. Transfer
relevant information and materials to appropriate conference planning committees.
- Maintain copies of all contracts.
- Coordinate and negotiate all contracts for Board approval.
PRIVATE REPRESENTATIVE
The Private Representative of the Wisconsin Correctional Association’s Board of Directors is an elected position for a two year term
and takes office at the annual conference. Duties of the position include:
- Attend Board meetings.
- Provide a minimum of one article for each WCA newsletter.
- Promote WCA membership and activities in the private sector.
- Serve on committees at the discretion of the WCA President and complete all assigned tasks.
- Represent the interests of the private sector to the WCA Board.
- Serve as a liaison between the private sector, WCA, and agencies subscribing to WCA.
- Serve as the WCA Board member liaison to the Service Committee.
