VI-CAP
® (Video Information Capture) was created by Sentencing Alternatives as a results of many requests of their home detention monitoring agencies. Alcohol abuse is one of the problems associated with a large percentage of their subjects, and a reliable technology was really not available to monitor and notify in real time.

VI-CAP
® is a technology that may also be used standalone or in combination with a Home Detention Monitoring unit for random video verification and breath alcohol testing. A live monitoring center operator who has verbal interactive communications and video surveillance of the participant during the test, places two random calls a day to the participant's home with active interaction. Participant verification is absolute via an active color video camera located in their residence that provides active color video of the participant. The participant blows into the breathalyzer, and holds up the numeric display result to the camera. The participant's face and the breathalyzer results are provided in a full color image immediately and interactively at the monitoring center.

VI-CAP
® utilizes an actual hand held Breathalyzer (fuel cell, deep lung, quantitative value) to measure the Blood Alcohol Content reflected in an accurate quantitative percentage. Every test is conducted interactively with a live monitoring center operator on the line providing a witness to ensure a valid test is completed.

Features

*Monitoring operators supervise each test via video and audio ensuring completion of a valid test, without the need for officer involvement.

*Live interaction with the subject twice a day allows the Operator to observe the subject and assure that they are not demonstrating signs of being under the influence of other drugs.

*Fuel cell technology ensures accurate detection of alcohol.

*Color video of participant and test results is immediately emailed to officer upon violation.
