Inmates Allowed Access to Showers, Phone After Riots at State Prison |

Two days after riots and fires break out in the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution, they are in the process of allowing inmates access to showers and phones. Meanwhile, Nebraska Department of Correctional Services staff continues to coordinate the cleanup of the facility and the restoration of operations. The Corrections Department is still in the process of calculating the damage estimates. The prison riot broke out Sunday and continued through Monday morning.
