The Gimbel Law Enforcement Glove is made of natural rubber latex and is powder free. The patented glove has special pads applied to the fingertips and thumb during the manufacturing process.  The revolutionary polymer material and proprietary bonding and layering process of these pads minimizes the risk for the wearer of puncture, cuts or infection from body fluids.

Though cut- and puncture-resistant, the micro-thin polymer mesh still allows fingertips to load a firearm, feel a trigger, operate handcuff keys, identify objects by touch, take notes and perform all standard field operations.

In tests, the Gimbel Law Enforcement Gloves had a 180% increase in protections over double-gloving with latex.  The gloves also exceed the National Institute of Justice's highest rating for puncture resistance as proposed in their upcoming comparative evaluation of protective gloves.

“As the rates of Hepatitis and AIDS continue to rise at an alarming rate among the prison population, so do the risks associated with handling the inmates,” says Gordon Pardy, President of the Gimbel Glove Company.  “The Gimbel Glove offers increased protection, while providing the officer with a re-usable latex glove with puncture and cut resistant protection.'
