| Description: | The Vermont Department of Corrections seeks a seasoned proven correctional leader to manage the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility, Vermont’s most active intake facility. Constructed in 1975, the 192 bed Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility is located in South Burlington, Vermont. Responsibilities will include directing operations, and ensuring the safety and security of both staff and inmates. The ideal candidate will have a proven supervisory track record demonstrating success in the management of a diverse population of pretrial and sentenced inmates. The ability to establish effective working relationships with facility staff, offenders, and the public is essential. Desired credentials would include a minimum of ten years correctional experience. This is an exempt position which provides for an excellent benefit package, and salary is $65,000+ depending on qualifications and experience.
