| Description: | Officer will be onboard a air flight and is responsible for the custody of detainee passengers. The security crew will be under direct supervision of the Government Agency Officer and comply with his directions. In the event no Government Agency Officer is onboard, the lead contractor’s security officer will be responsible for the safety and security of the detainee passengers and supervision of all other onboard contractor security officers. CONTRACT SECURITY DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES All security personnel will be unarmed. The following duties may normally include, but are not limited to: • Searching detainees for contraband; • Escorting detainees to rest rooms; • Identifying proper documentation; • Loading property onto the aircraft;** • Feeding detainees in-flight* and assisting in cabin cleanup afterwards; • Assisting with perimeter security when requested; • Restraining detainees or removing restraints; and • Ensuring general security and safety of detainees when onboard the aircraft. |
| Special Instructions: | CONTRACT SECURITY PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS All security officers must have a minimum of 1 year of full time experience as a United States corrections/detention officer or as a law enforcement officer employed by a United States local, state, or federal law enforcement entity. It will be certified that all security personnel assigned to will have successfully completed criminal background investigations within the previous 12 months, and that based on the results of the background investigations, a determination has been made that all security crewmembers are qualified to perform the duties associated with these flights. Any felony conviction, regardless of when occurring, will preclude qualification. |
