Description: | Community Educations Centers (CEC), is a leading provider of residential reentry and in-prison community corrections programs. Working in over 18 states across the U.S., we provide a foundation of support to change addictive and criminal behaviors and effectively prepare our residents for community reentry. With programming that encompasses assessment, drug and alcohol education, and family education services for juvenile and adult populations; we are redefining effective means to reduce recidivism. Community Alternatives of El Paso County (CAE) is a 212 bed male and female community corrections program. In this role you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of a male and female Community Corrections facility. You will also provide supervision and motivation for employees of the programs. Ensuring quality of facility programs and compliance with Department of Corrections “DOC”, American Corrections Association “ACA” and Division of Criminal Justice “DCJ” standards is paramount for this role. Monitoring the facility budget and keeping a clear customer focus is required. Other Duties & Responsibilities: Ensures timely delivery and effectiveness of all security, clinical and assessment services; Ensures effective integration of support services such as medical, food, vocational, facility programs, classification, family services, maintenance, security and education. Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of all facility-related reports; Oversees the hiring, training and supervision of all facility employees and performs staff evaluations; Acts as liaison with contract agencies/funding sources and other programs such as Community Corrections Board. |
Special Instructions: | Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Criminal Justice or related field, plus five years experience in management, supervision and service delivery. Significant relevant experience can be substituted for degree requirement. Basic computer keyboard skills required and knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software such as MS Word and MS Excel. Valid driver’s license required.
