| Description: | This position manages the operations of the Idaho State Correctional Institution (ISCI). It is the department's oldest and largest state-run facility and has an operating capacity of 1600+ offenders. It is the primary facility for long-term male, medium-custody offenders.
ISCI also has special-use beds for infirmary, outpatient mental health, and geriatric offenders. The physical plant includes a chapel, recreation center, school, large correctional industries operation and a medical clinic. This facility provides various education, program and work opportunities for offenders to develop skills and strong work ethic for a successful release into the community. |
