| Special Instructions: | To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements: Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) License as a Registered Nurse and two years of professional nursing experience, one of which was in a correctional or institutional setting; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Special Notes Probationary employees must successfully complete pre-service training (PST) provided by the department. A Bachelor's degree in nursing is equivalent to a diploma or Associates degree in nursing and one year of experience. As a condition of appointment and continuing employment, positions are subject to call-back, overtime on short notice, stand-by status, and must work various hours and/or shifts including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Special Requirements CPR certification is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items. A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant. Pursuant to NRS 284.4066, this position has been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in this position must submit to a pre-employment screening for controlled substances. A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. Additional Position Experience Applicants must be willing to work in Lovelock, NV. |
