Northwest Ohio Juvenile Detention, Training and Rehabilitation Center superintendent Brian Patrick received the American Corrections Association’s corrections executive certification. According to the ACA, certified corrections executives are an elite group of high-level practitioners who oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures. They also are recognized for the high-level of capabilities and accomplishments they have demonstrated through their corrections career. Patrick qualified because of his education and correctional work experience, and his passing of an exam that covered a variety of correctional issues, including personal discipline. The certification program is designed to advance practitioners’ overall corrections knowledge and ensure they are current on all innovative, and effective work strategies. It also promotes work ethics. The Northwest Ohio Juvenile Detention, Training and Rehabilitation Center is a multi-county facility established in 2000 to provide short-term care for juveniles waiting court action or waiting to be transferred. |
