MEDINA, N.Y. (RELEASE) - On Tuesday, after a year-long investigation into the sale and distribution of prescription narcotics, heroin, crack cocaine and marijuana in Orleans County, the Orleans County Major Felony Crime Task Force, assisted by the NYS Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, the Orleans County Sheriff's Department, the Albion Police Department, the Medina Police Department, the Holley Police Department, the NYS Police, NYS Parole, the Niagara County Drug Task Force, the Genesee County Drug Task Force and the Orleans County Multi-Agency SWAT Team conducted a series of arrests and search warrant executions over a four-month period in Orleans, Monroe, Niagara and Genesee counties, which resulted in 51 arrests and the execution of 15 search warrants. The arrests ranged from upper level dealers to lower level dealers from Orleans County and surrounding counties. 10 of the above search warrants and 38 arrest warrants were executed in the early morning hours on Tuesday. Police seized: hundreds of prescription narcotic pills, crack cocaine, heroin, marijuana, over $30,000.00 in cash, scales, packaging material, a loaded 45 cal.
