Fourth corrections employee dies following failed escape at Pasquotank Correctional Institution |

PASQUOTANK COUNTY, NC (WITN)- A fourth employee at Pasquotank Correctional Institution passed away from his injuries sustained three weeks ago in the failed prison escape. Geoffrey Howe, 31, was a maintenance mechanic at the prison. He passed away Thursday at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital from injuries suffered during the Oct. 12 incident. Correctional officers Justin Smith and Wendy Shannon, as well as Correction Enterprises Sewing Plant Manager Veronica Darden, also died from injuries from the incident. Read More. |
