Death row inmate Tina Brown — who was convicted in 2012 for tasing, beating and setting a woman on fire — is again in Escambia County court as she argues for a new trial. The jury in Brown's case unanimously recommended that she be sentenced to death for the murder of Audreanna Zimmerman in 2010. Brown, 47, was the only defendant sentenced to death. Her daughter, Britnee Miller, who was 16 at the time, is serving a life sentence for murder, and a third woman, Heather Lee, 35, is serving a 25-year sentence for second-degree murder. Read More. |
