Harford Co. Inmate Dies In Cell; Officials Say He Hanged Himself |

A 30-year-old inmate at Harford County Detention Center died Wednesday after the Harford County Sheriff's Office says he hanged himself in his cell. The man has been identified as Marlyn William Barnes of Gwynn Oak. The Aegis reports that a correctional officer found Barnes unresponsive, with a sheet around his neck, during a regularly scheduled tour just before 3 p.m. Barnes was declared deceased after attempts of CPR and AED assistance failed.
