|Escaped inmate back in custody in Lincoln|
LINCOLN, Neb. — A community corrections inmate has been returned to the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services after he failed to return from work last week, according to officials.
The Lincoln Police Department said they arrested Derrick Tyler just before 10:30 p.m. on Monday.
NDCS said Tyler failed to return to the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln after leaving work on Saturday. They said CCC-L is one of two community custody facilities operated by NDCS, and community custody is the lowest custody level and the least restrictive facility. Inmates are allowed to participate in work opportunities, attend school and religious services with prior approval and without direct supervision.
