Bob Barker Company to Give $5,000 Grand Prize to the “Biggest Winner”

Fuquay-Varina, NC – January 30, 2008: The nearly 200 employees at Bob Barker Company have an exciting challenge in front of them and plenty of incentive to go with it. As part of the Company’s 2008 Strategic Business Plan, Robert Barker, Jr., President of Bob Barker Company recently announced the “Biggest Winner” Health Challenge with a grand prize of $5,000 going to the employee that loses the largest percentage of body weight in 90-days.

Generous prices will also be given to the runner-ups of this contest with $2,500 going to the 2nd place winner, $2,000 going to the 3rd place winner and $1,500 going to the 4th place winner. Participants not receiving the larger amounts will receive $50 per 1% body weight lost. For those employees that do not need to take off the pounds, Bob Barker Company is offering a $500 incentive to any employee that successfully stops smoking and other cash prizes will be given to anyone that can lower their blood pressure and cholesterol by 10% for the 90-day challenge period.

Nurses from KDI Health Solutions, part of Kerr Drug’s Corporate Wellness event, weighed employees and drew blood to get the challenge started at the company's headquarters with 70% employee participation. The company’s west coast distribution and sales center located in Ogden, Utah had an astounding 92% employee participation. Bob Barker Company also offers discounted gym memberships, personal training sessions, nutrition classes and a recreational basketball league.
