Article: BRENTWOOD, Tenn.,— Corizon, the nation’s leader in correctional healthcare solutions, has been awarded a renewal of its healthcare contract with the Alabama Department of Corrections. The agreement is for three years, with two one-year renewal opportunities. Corizon and its predecessor companies have held the contract since 2003. “The Alabama DOC and Corizon have worked as a collaborative team over the past nine years, and together have developed a successful, quality, cost-effective healthcare program. Among other services, Corizon’s team will perform a wide variety of on- and off-site functions, including medical, dental, pharmaceutical, diagnostic and chronic care, as well as administrative, staffing and management services.
