I have noticed a lot of inquiry regarding how to get involved and what to do in order to get into the corrections industry on this forum. I am a firm believer that we are all the strongest asset we have. You have to sell yourself and that involves advertising what you can do and your interests. Today it is easier than most think. There are many social media outlets such as www.corrections.com. There are also sites like www.linkedin.com that provide ways to share you experience.
I just ran across another called http://www.SocialDetention.com which is concentrated on the corrections industry and has some of the top industry leaders. The key is to be bold and not afraid to ask questions!
