Topic: Security Central / Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) training? Any policies?

We carry LE-10 the OC only comes out when we do extractions or there’s a riot. but i have asthma an neither of the chemical agents we were subjected too during our training academy caused any problems i experienced what everyone else does an thats pain….

Topic: Security Central / Which cell extraction methods work best?

We use a 5, an 10 man dependin on past encounters with the inmate or if they have a celly, we use the shield which normally will be a pretty big guy an thats our 1 man, our 2 man go’s for the left hand and/or weapon hand an if we dont have anymore big guys its normally a pretty strong small guy, our 3 man goes for the right hand and/or non-weapon hand an has the cuffs an is usually the most experienced, our 4 man goes for left leg an our 5 man goes for right leg an has leg irons. And if the inmate has a celly its just duplicate. but we do use chemical agents to get compliance first but its always fun to bust’em up.

Topic: The Club House / Just starting out

I am new to corrections to but i’m 6 months into it including my academy. I had no problems i had no college an had an M.I.P on my record, an as for the chemical agents the CS wasn’t that bad, the LE-10 on the other hand packs a pretty good punch. I know some of the ways corrections run vary state by state but from what i’ve experienced so far. i enjoy my career an plan to pull rank in the next yr an half.

Topic: The Club House / best shift to learn on

Well here in Texas we have 2 shifts day an night. An my personal opinion would be night shift because when we get to shift we still have’em up but its less movement than day, we have mail, lay-ins, pill window, an chow, plus you have workers that need to come on an off the pod. plus you have to learn how to deal with inmates that dont want to rack up which if you work days you wouldnt learn, but there’s pros an cons to both.
